摘要
Abstract
In consideration of the shortage of reactive power and voltage decline in the large-capacity and long-distance high voltage direct current(HVDC)system at the weak sending end under fault,a suitable reactive power compensa?tion device should be installed at the substation to improve the system stability. Accordingly,the PSCAD/EMTDC tran?sient simulation tool is used to build a simulation circuit in the HVDC system at the weak sending end,and a large num?ber of simulation calculations are carried out for the HVDC system,in which a synchronous condenser,a static var com?pensator,and a static synchronous compensator are added to the converter station at the sending end,respectively. Comparison results show that the installation of the synchronous condenser can improve the strength of the weak AC sys?tem at the sending end and the capability of system failure recovery with a better dynamic performance.关键词
