摘要

Abstract

To enhance the safety and economy of distribution system by optimizing its bus voltage profile and power fac-tor and reducing the short-circuit current,a circuit scheme of dynamic voltage regulator and fault current limiter (VR&FCL)is developed based on the coordinated control of output reactance by means of fast mechanical switches and thyristor valve. With the combination of step regulation and flexible regulation,an integrated multi-objective control strategy is worked out. Therefore,the hybrid functions such as bus voltage regulation,power factor correction and fault current limitation are realized. A simulation model including a test system,VR&FCL and its control strategy is estab-lished using PSCAD-EMTDC,and the output characteristics of equipment under different scenarios of distribution net-work are analyzed through simulations. Results show that VR&FCL can work well with the preset designed functions as well as accurate and fast response.
