摘要

Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship between microRNA-424 expression and glioma grades, prognosis, chemosensitivity , IDH1 phenotype and Ki67 expression. Methods 198 followed-up glioma patients were selected from the Chinese Glioma Genome Atlas ( CGGA).The expression of microRNA-424 in different groups of patients , and the survival time, progression-free survival time and chemotherapeutic effect of patients with different expression levels of microRNA-424 were compared. The relationship between expression of Ki 67 protein and IDH1 phenotype and microRNA-424 expression was analyzed. Results The expression of microRNA-424 was positively correlated with tumor grades. The expression of microRNA-424 increased in IDH1 wild type and Ki67 protein overexpression patients (all P<0.05).The prognosis of patients with high expression of microRNA-424 was significantly worse than that of patients with low expression of microRNA-424, and glioma recurred more easily. The patients with low expression of microRNA-424 were more sensitive to chemotherapy. The survival time of patients with radiotherapy plus chemotherapy was significantly longer than that of patients with radiotherapy alone ( P =0.007 ).Conclusion MicroRNA-424 can be used as a biomarker for the diagnosis , treatment and prognosis of glioma.
