Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of modified endoscopic sinus surgery on nasal airway resistance and olfactory function in patients with recurrent rhinosinusitis(CRS).Methods 67 patients with CRS were treated with homogeneous modified endoscopic sinus surgery in our hospital from January,2017 to January,2019.The nasal airway resistance and olfactory function before and after operation were analyzed and compared. Results 41 cases(61.19%)were completely controlled,17 cases(25.37%)were partially controlled, and 9 cases(13.43%)were not controlled; the total effective rate was 86.57%(58/67).The nasal airway resistance after the treatment was lower than that before the treatment, and decreased with the increase of postoperative time(F= 1 501.082,P=0.000).The score of olfactory function after the treatment was lower than that before the treament, and decreased with the increase of postoperative time(F=846.212,P=0.000).In this study,3 cases(4.48%)had postoperative complications, including 1 case of orbital cardboard injury,1 case of nasal septum hematomas, and 1 case had perforation. The extemal manifestation was panda eye sign, which basically dissipated within 10 days. And there were no serious postoperative complications. Conclusion Modified endoscopic sinus surgery for patients with CRS can effectively improve their olfactory function and reduce their nasal airway resistance.关键词
