Analysis on World Energy Supply & Demand Outlook in 2040—Based on BP World Energy Prospect (2019 Edition)

Abstract
This paper mainly analyzes and summarizes the BP World Energy Prospect(2019 Edition) report. The Outlook counts the current state of demand and supply of global and major national primary energy sources, including oil, natural gas, coal, hydropower, renewable energy, nuclear power and hydropower, and based on the situation of gradual transformation, the situation of energy supply and demand in the world is forecasted by 2040. Worldwide, the growth rate of primary energy demand is gradually slowing down and shifting to low-carbon energy systems. Among them, the demand for renewable energy is the fastest growing and is expected to account for 50% of the world’s energy demand increase by 2040; the demand for natural gas is strong, and in 2040, it will increase by another 46% ; the output of oil and other liquid fuels will also grow in the outlook for the early period, mainly due to the growth of dense oil production in the United States and a significant slowdown in global coal consumption.关键词
