Abstract

Weight transfer operation is a very critical process in floating topside onshore construction, which takes a connecting link between onshore construction and load-out. The risks and difficulties are relatively high. Whether the weight transfer operation can be completed smoothly and on time is directly related to the topside sailing time. The implementation period of weight transfer is related to the equipment, weather conditions, construction preparation and other factors. This article take the DF 13-2 CEPB topside as an example, research has been conducted on the method and procedures for high position fabrication large topside onshore weight transfer, and on the comparison between the plan and actual duration. At last, a quantitative evaluation method for weight transfer duration has been obtained, which embraces values for promotion.
