摘要

Abstract

In order to understand drying characteristics of 4-year-old, 6-year-old and 8-year-old Eucalyptus urophylla × E. grandis DH32-29 woods, drying characteristics of E. urophylla × E. grandis DH32-29 woods at different ages were studied by 100℃test method. Results showed that grades of initial crack were 3, 3 and 5; grades of internal crack were 4, 4 and 4; grades of cross-section deformation were 5, 5 and 5; twist was grade 3, 3 and 4; and drying speeds were grade 3, 3 and 4, respectively of 4-year-old, 6-year-old and 8-year-old woods. Internal crack and cross-section deformation were main drying defects. Based on research results of wood drying characteristics, drying schedule of 4-year-old, 6-year-old and 8-year-old woods with 25 mm thickness were established, which could provide reference for drying process of E. urophylla×E. grandis DH32-29 wood.
