Abstract

TiO2 @SBA-15 photocatalyst was synthesized by hydrothermal deposition of titanium dioxide (TiO2 )nanoparticles using mesoporous SBA-15 as support.The structure of the photocatalyst was characterized by several techniques including ultraviolet visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS)and N2 adsorption-desorption.The results from the characterization show that the TiO2 nanoparticles was anatase and was uniformly dispersed on the SBA-15.The mesoporous structure of support SBA-15 was kept and confirmed by N2 adsorption-desorption.After 25 min under ultraviolet radiation,100 mL of the methylene blue with the concentration of 10.0 mg·L-1 was completely degraded by 20 mg mesoporous TiO2@SBA-15.
