Mg-substitution effect on the magnetic susceptibility of the two-dimensional spin system Cu3B2O6
摘要
Abstract
We synthesized the powder samples of (Cu1-xMgx)3B2O6 and grew the single crystals by floating-zone method. The different doping level x is chosen as x=0,0.01,0.02 and 0.04. The magnetic susceptibility of the samples in a mag-netic field of 0.5 T was measured in order to reveal the ground state of Cu3B2O6. The experimental results show that as the doping level x increases,the antiferromagnetic order in the system is gradually destroyed. We also compared the physical effects of Mg-substitution with those of Zn-substitution in the previous literature.关键词
