Exploring Clinical Application of Academician Shi Xuemin's Principle for Xingnao Kaiqiao(Awakening Brain and Opening Aperture)
摘要
Abstract
"Xingnao Kaiqiao Treatment Principle"is a stroke treatment method proposed by Academician Shi Xuemin in 1972.In re-sponse to the pathogenesis of stroke,which is characterized by"Qiaobi Shenni(closed aperture and hidden mind)induced Shen not guiding Qi",acupuncture therapy guided by the principle of"awakening brain and opening aperture"is aimed at regulating the mind,awakening the brain and opening the mind.Academician Shi believes that the mind and brain jointly control the Shen of man and cal-ming the mind and Heart is essential for regulating the mind,which would ensure smooth circulation of Qi,blood,body Fluids,and the normal functions of the Five Zang organs and Six Fu organs.Acupuncture therapy guided by the principles of awakening the brain and o-pening the mind can treat stroke complications such as hemiplegia,swallowing disorders,vascular dementia,depression,anxiety,and oth-er mental disorders.It can also treat brain diseases such as cerebral palsy and multiple sclerosis in children,peripheral neuropathies such as facial muscle spasms and sciatica,as well as various difficult and complex diseases.关键词
