Study on the status quo of practice environment of obstetric nurses in maternal and child health institutions in Henan Province

Abstract
Objective:To understand the practice environment of obstetric nurses in a third-grade A maternal and child health institution in Henan Province,and to provide reference for improving the practice environment of obstetric nurses.Methods:In May 2023,227 obstetric nurses were selected as the research objects by convenience sampling method in a third-grade A maternal and child health care hospital in Henan Province.The Nurse Practice Environment Assessment Scale was applied to investigate and multiple linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of obstetric nurses'practice environment.Results:A total of 230 questionnaires were sent out,and 227 were valid,with an effective recovery rate of 98.7％.The survey results showed that the total score of the Nurse Practice Environment Assessment Scale was(81.92±17.29),among which the nurses in the work team were competent in nursing work(89.38±15.90),and the standard rules and procedures that could be followed at work(88.81±15.22)scored higher.Nurses had the opportunity to participate in the internal management of the hospital(73.17±26.50),and nurses had the opportunity to participate in the management decision of the hospital(70.62±27.50).Position and educational background were the factors influencing the practice environment of obstetric nurses.Conclusions:The total average score of the Nurse Practice Environment Assessment Scale for obstetric nurses is above the medium level.Position and educational background affect the practice environment of obstetric nurses.The hospital management model and the salary distribution system of nurses need to be further improved and improved.关键词
