Significance and Countermeasures of Preserving Animal Welfare under New Situations
摘要
Abstract
Under new situations of severe and complex global infectious diseases and increasing uncertainties in economic development,especially the rising trade protectionism,animal welfare is increasingly concerned,and is special important to effective coordination of disease control and economic development.In the paper,starting from the concept of animal welfare,the historical evolution and practices of animal welfare legislation in developed countries such as Europe and America were summarized,the practical significance of safeguarding animal welfare was considered based on the status of animal welfare legislation in China,then four measures were proposed,including improving animal welfare legislation,developing standards of animal welfare,trying to establish a quarantine certification system and giving full play to the advantages of customs functions to strengthen quarantine supervision,with a view to providing a decision-making reference for improving animal welfare system in China.关键词
