Abstract
By virtue of its capital,technology and management advantages,Japan provided government development assistance to Cambodia,Laos,Myanmar and Vietnam(CLMV)in order to achieve favorable political and economic results for its own country.In 2016 Japan officially launched the Indo-Pacific strategy,and its assistance to the four countries is linked to the values in the Indo-Pacific Strategy.On the one hand,Japan's assistance has played a positive role in promoting the economic and social development of CLMV,and Japan has obtained important diplomatic benefits.On the other hand,Japan's mercantilist factors and geopolitical considerations have increased in the proportion of foreign aid,and the four countries have different degrees of concerns about deeper security cooperation with Japan based on their own interests.It is difficult for Japan to achieve its"Indo-Pacific strategy"through assistance.关键词
