基于儿童头部保护的发动机罩材料轻量化
Material Lightweighting of Engine Hood Based on Children Head Protection

Abstract
According to the equivalent stiffness replacement theory,the feasibility of replacing steel en-gine hood with aluminum or carbon fiber composites was studied to achieve the lightweight with re-duced children's head injury criteria(HIC).Based on 2018 edition C-NCAP,explicit solution tech-niques were used to simulate and calculate the HIC and acceleration waveforms at different collision points.Results indicate that the replacement with an aluminum engine hood increases the HIC.On the other hand,the replacement with a carbon fiber composite engine hood results in a head acceleration waveform featuring shorter peak duration,earlier arrival time,and larger lateral deformation range,with more extensive material involved in absorbing collision energy to effectively reduce the HIC,as well as a weight reduction by 34.8%.关键词
