Abstract

In order to improve the stiffness performance and ensure the impact and energy absorption characteristics of materials with negative Poisson's ratios,a collaborative optimization design of materi-als and structures was proposed,with the minimum Poisson's ratio as the goal.In addition,the relative density of each element in the design area of microscopic materials was taken as the design variable,and the optimal microstructure under multiple volume ratios was optimized.The material distribution of the macro-structure was obtained based on the optimization objective of maximum stiffness,and then the arrangement and combination of the microstructure were guided by the optimal macro-material dis-tribution.The material model with a negative Poisson's ratio of a multi-type microstructure was estab-lished.The experimental results show that compared with the single material with a negative Poisson's ratio,the multi-type material with a negative Poisson's ratio has a great stiffness enhancement effect and better energy absorption capacity.
