Exploring Online Health Misinformation Correction Based on Social Network Analysis:The Role of Social Capital and Independent Self-construal

Abstract
[Research purpose]Online health misinformation could mislead public health perceptions and threaten social stability.Promo-ting social correction is an effective way to combat misinformation.This study intends to explore the influence of social capital on individu-als'intention to correct misinformation.It will provide insight to encourage public misinformation correction and achieve collaborative mis-information management.[Research method]Based on social network analysis,this study explores how social capital(including three di-mensions:structural,relational,and cognitive)influences people's intention of online health misinformation correction.In addition,this study also examines the moderating role of independent self-construal in the relationship between social capital and intention to online health misinformation correction.[Research conclusion]Results show that both structural social capital,cognitive social capital and inde-pendent self-construal have positive effects on individuals'intention of misinformation correction,while independent self-construal strengthen the association between cognitive social capital and intention of misinformation correction.The findings of this study are helpful to deepen the understanding of social capital theory and have practical implications for combating online misinformation.关键词
