A Study of the Birth Year and Death Year of LI Changhe and His Family and Life
摘要
Abstract
Li Changhe,also known as Qingyun(courtesy name)and Hanshi(art name),was a native of Xihua,Kaifeng(now Zhoukou City,Henan Province)and widely known for his articles on integrity in the Ming and Qing dynasties.Later generations have different opinions on the existence of Li Changhe in their study and there are only a few and inexhaustive historical records about him.Through the analysis and study of literature about Li Changhe,it can be concluded that Li was born in 1596,and died at the age of 51 on October 4,1646.Among all opinions about his surname,the one referring to a compound surname seems to be credible.The turmoil and war at the end of the Ming Dynasty led to Li's perennial wandering life,and his life can be divided into two stages.The first stage is that before he passed the provincial examination,he left home and worked as a teacher to make a living;the second stage is that after passing the provincial examination,he wandered for survival and refuge.关键词
