Comparison of Reproductive Performance between Luxi Blackhead Sheep and Hu Sheep

Abstract
This experiment aims to study the similarities and differences in reproductive performance between Luxi blackhead sheep and Hu sheep,providing scientific basis for further promoting Luxi Blackhead Sheep.In this experiment,50 2-year-old Luxi blackhead ewes and Hu sheep ewes were selected and divided into two groups according to their breeds.The Hu sheep group was the control group,while the Luxi blackhead sheep group was the experimental group.They were raised under the same conditions.The experimental results showed that the estrus rate,conception rate,and lambing status of Luxi blackhead sheep in the experimental group were higher than those of Hu sheep in the control group,and the weight of newborn male and female lambs in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05),while there was no significant difference in body length.In summary,under the same feeding and management conditions,the reproductive performance of Luxi blackhead sheep is slightly better than that of Hu sheep,and can be promoted and applied nationwide.关键词
