摘要

Abstract

[Objective]The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of a composite water-soluble additive(taurine,vitamin C,vitamin E,glutamine and sodium glutamate)on water quality,and on biochemical parameters and tissue structure of juvenile Ictalurus punctatus during transportation.[Methods]Different mass concentrations of the composite water-soluble additive(named F-20%,F-40%,F-60%,F-80%,F-100%groups)were added to the water,with no additive group as the control group.Subsequently,a 14-hour transportation simulation was conducted,and the water quality(total ammonia nitrogen,pH),serum and liver biochemical parameters as well as tissue structure changes during the transportation simulation(0,5,9,14 h)were evaluated.[Results]After 14 hours of transportation,the concentrations of total ammonia nitrogen in the water,cortisol in the serum,and catalase and malondialdehyde in the liver were significantly lower in the groups treated with the composite water-soluble additive compared to the control group(P<0.05).The glucose content in the serum was significantly lower in all treatment groups except for group F-20%compared to the control group(P<0.05).Except for group F-100%,the pH values of the water in the other treatment groups were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After 14 h of transportation,the total antioxidant capacity of group F-40%was significantly lower than that of the control group and other treatment groups(P<0.05).The degree of damage to the gills and skin structure of group F-40%was lower than that in the control group.[Conclusion]The composite water-soluble additive can enhance the stress resistance of juvenile I.punctatus during transportation,reduce or even eliminate water changing operations,shorten transportation time,and maintain the health status of the juvenile I.punctatus.
