Abstract
Objective To based on cone beam computed tomography(CBCT)image analysis,the morphology and location of vessel in the lateral sinus wall of maxillary sinus were studied.Methods A total of 102 patients requiring oral radiological examination admitted to Fujian Medical University Union Hospital from December 2020 to December 2021 were selected as the study objects.The CBCT images were observed and measured by 3D Viewer software,and the detection rate,location,path,diameter,terminal position and distance between terminal and crest of alveolar ridge of vessel in the lateral sinus wall of maxillary sinus were analyzed.Results In 102 patients with bilateral maxillary sinus,the detection rate of vessel in the lateral sinus wall of maxillary sinus was 94.6%(193/204).All of them were located above the region of nasal cavity,79.3%were labial-oriented and 20.7%were palatal-oriented.There were no significant differences in the direction and terminal position of vessel in the lateral sinus wall of maxillary sinus between different genders and sides(P>0.05).The diameter of vessel in the lateral sinus wall of maxillary sinus was significantly larger at the terminal than at the fork[(1.20±0.29)mm vs.(0.75±0.21)mm,t=18.688,P<0.001].The distance between vessel in the lateral sinus wall of maxillary sinus and the crest of dental alveolus of maxilla was significantly greater in male than in female[(20.62±3.69)mm vs.(17.83±2.95)mm,t=5.900,P<0.001].Conclusion CBCT images showed a high detection rate of vessel in the lateral sinus wall of maxillary sinus.There are various terminal positions of vessel in the lateral sinus wall of maxillary sinus,which are closely related to important anatomical structures such as the maxilla and nasal cavity.Preoperative CBCT image analysis has great significance to optimize the surgical path and reduce complications such as bleeding.关键词
