Abstract
The competence of vocational teachers is an important factor in promoting innovation and talent cultivation in higher vocational education in China.By designing a competency indicator system and survey questionnaire for preschool education teachers in vocational colleges,an in-depth survey was conducted on the competency of preschool education teachers in eight normal colleges in Shanxi Province.The study found that gender did not have a significant impact on teacher competency,while age,tenure,education,professional title,and practical experience had a significant impact on teacher competency.At the same time,it was found that there was a lack of professional theoretical reserves for teachers,lack of practical teaching experience,weak scientific research ability,insufficient teaching ability of master's degree teachers,occupational burnout of associate professor title teachers and low competence of"double-qualified teacher"The paths to enhance the competence of preschool education teachers in higher vocational colleges are to strengthen pre-employment training for new teachers,strengthen systematic training for post-employment teachers,improve the construction mechanism of"old leading new",improve the incentive mechanism for teacher growth,deeply promote teacher participation in practice,and guide teachers in creating work situations.关键词
