Analysis on the Difference of American Ginseng Growing Areas Based on Multi-Component Content Determination and Chemometrics

Abstract
Objective:To summarize the rule of multi-component content in American ginseng from different growing areas and apply this rule to infer information.Methods:UPLC-ELSD method was established and the contents of ginsenoside Rg1,ginsenoside Re,ginsenoside Rb1 and pseudo-ginsenoside F11 in American ginseng were determined through this method.The contents of these 4 components in 33 batches of American ginseng grown in Jilin province,Shandong province,the United States of America,and Canada were checked.The data were analyzed by principal component analysis method and orthogonal partial least squares discrimination method.Results:The content composition of American ginseng followed the rules of ginsenoside Rb1>ginsenoside Re>ginsenoside Rg1>pseudo-ginsenoside F11.There was difference in each of the 4 components among those growing areas,and ginsenoside Re and ginsenoside Rb1 were the leading components for the difference.Conclusion:The established method can be applied to the quality analysis of American ginseng,so as to help infer the origin information through the rule of the composition content of American ginseng.关键词
