Electromagnetic transient modeling and traveling wave property analysis of traction power supply system in high-speed railway

Abstract
In response to the complex coupling structure of multiple conductors in the traction power supply system of high-speed railways,which poses challenges in analyzing electromagnetic transients during fault location,this study employs PSCAD/EMTDC simulation software to achieve electromagnetic transient modeling of the traction power supply system and analyze its traveling wave properties.The full-parallel AT traction power supply system is built according to the actual parameters,with a focus on establishing a refined model of the traction network.Coupling modeling of over 10 conductors from the upper and lower traction network is performed.Two typical faults,namely metallic property and high-resistance ground-ing,are separately verified through measured fault data.Simultaneously,the simulation analysis considers the impact of length for feed line,transition resistance,fault location,and lightning current on the degree of distortion in fault traveling waves.The results show that the transient fluctuation of fault traveling waves in the traction network remains unaffected by length for feed line.However,transition resistance,fault location,and lightning current significantly influence the attenuation and distortion degree during fault traveling wave propagation.The fault traveling wave properties studied in this paper serve as a reference for improving the accuracy of traction network fault location algorithms.关键词
