Abstract

Red lead was widely used in lead-acid battery as an additive.Due to the different usage environments of battery,the addition of different manufacturers varied greatly,there was no unified standard.To meet the special requirements of coal mine customers for the initial capacity of battery(reaching the rated capacity upon first use),experiments were conducted with 4 different mass fractions(0,10%,20%and 30%)of red lead addition to verify the changes in the initial capacity and capacity before 5 cycles of lead-acid battery for coal mines.The initial discharge capacity of battery added red lead was 5%-10%higher than that without red lead.The capacity continued to increase differently before 5 cycles with different red lead additions.The research could provide a theoretical reference for the manufacturers of lead-acid battery for coal mines.
