Induced Overvoltage Characteristics for Distributed Photovoltaic Systems Connected to Distribution Lines

Abstract
Lightning induced overvoltage is the main cause of active distribution system faults,and stud-ying the induced overvoltage characteristics of distributed photovoltaic systems connected to distribution lines is of great significance.A calculation model for induced overvoltage of a distributed photovoltaic sys-tem connected to a 10 kV distribution line was established in ATP.The variation patterns of induced overvoltage on the distribution line side and photovoltaic side were calculated when lightning strikes active distribution lines at different positions,and corresponding lightning protection configuration optimization strategies were proposed.The results indicate that when lightning strikes the ground near the transmission line tower,the induced overvoltage generated on the line will affect the stable operation of the photovolta-ic system;When lightning strikes the metal frame of the photovoltaic array,it will not affect the distribu-tion line;When installing lightning arresters and SPDs on the high and low voltage sides of grid connected transformers,the transformer and photovoltaic side equipment are not affected by induced overvoltage on the distribution line side.关键词
