Abstract

By analyzing the drying characteristics of southern rice,the characteristics and application status of traditional fuel grain dryers.It is pointed out that traditional grain dryers are difficult to meet the common problems of southern rice drying,and the application advantages of heat pump drying(HPD)technology in high temperature and humidity conditions are elaborated.Production experiments were conducted using the self-developed 5HRD-30 rice heat pump dryer.When the drying temperature is set at 55~60℃,it takes 18.56 hours to dry the moisture content of rice from 29.28%to 14%,which is 24.2%shorter than the traditional grain dryer(set at a drying temperature above 70℃)with a drying time of 24.5 hours.The average drying rate of HPD is 0.835%/h,and the energy consumption per ton of wet grain drying is 59.87 kW·h.The increase in rice bursting rate is 0.66%,achieving low energy consumption,high-quality,and efficient drying of southern rice.
