Research on the Quality and Safety Risks of Rubber Tableware Products for Infants and Children

Abstract
The quality of commercially available rubber tableware products for infants and children was studied and its safety was evaluated.The quality and safety risk points were found by statistics of supervision and sampling statistics as well as domestic and foreign recalls of rubber tableware products.According to the standard requirements and the possible hidden dangers of quality and safety,from the analysis of material by volatile substances,N-nitrosamines and N-nitrosamines generatable releases,and label identification,the rubber tableware products for infants and children were studied.The results of N-nitrosamines and N-nitrosamines generatable releases of 15 batches of samples all met the requirements of the reference standards;a batch of rubber tableware samples exceeded the standard for volatile substance;and the label identification of 15 batches of samples didn't meet the requirements.From the test results,the presence of excessive volatile substances and labeling irregularities of the rubber tableware products for infants and children sold on the market indicates that there are certain potential risks of such products on the market.关键词
