Abstract
To study the changing laws of bull semen quality with breeds,semen collection year,season,semen collection year-season,and the correlation between different semen qualities,16502 records of semen collection and production from 5 breeds(Anqus,Holstein,Limousin,Charolais,and Simmental)in the Breeding Bull Station of Henan Dingyuan Co.,Ltd.were collected.The effect of these factors and the cor-relation on bull's semen quality was analysed.The results showed that the correlation between the number of frozen semen and the average semen volume ranged from 0.24 to 0.49,between the average semen vol-ume and the semen density ranged from-0.24 to 0.07,between the frozen semen number and semen den-sity ranged from 0.13 to 0.30,respectively.The correlation coefficients of semen quality of different breeds are different,and the correlation coefficients between semen quality of Angus bulls occupies the highest value among the five breeds.Breed,semen collection year,semen collection season,year & quarter have extremely significant effects on semen quality(P＜0.01).In terms of the number of frozen semen,average semen volume per time and semen density,the best performing breeds are Simmental,Charolais and Hol-stein;the highest values of semen quality in the three aspects appeared in autumn,summer and spring,re-spectively.Among the five breeds,the semen quality of Simmental is better than the other four breeds;under the environment of the Central Plains,the semen quality of bulls in autumn,summer and spring is higher,which is more conducive to the production of high-quality frozen semen.关键词
