The Influence of Ghrelin Gene Polymorphism on Cancer
摘要
Abstract
Ghrelin initially garnered attention for its role in regulating growth hormone secretion and appetite.Recent studies have unveiled its significant role in various cancers.This review explored the potential associa-tion between ghrelin gene polymorphisms and a range of cancers,including non-Hodgkin lymphoma,colorec-tal,liver and breast cancer.Additionally,we emphasized the multifaceted role of ghrelin in various biological processes relevant to cancer,including obesity,apoptosis,inflammation,immunity,stem cell differentiation and angiogenesis.While the precise mechanisms by which ghrelin impacts the field of cancer require further research,this area of study was poised to offer novel perspectives and strategies for cancer prevention and treatment.关键词
