Abstract
Objective:To analyse the differences in quality of life between patients with genuine halitosis and pseud-ohalitosis and healthy people.Methods:In this case-control study,178 subjects were selected and divided into 64 cases in the genuine halitosis group,60 cases in the pseudohalitosis group and 54 cases in the control group according to the halitosis com-plaints and detection results.A quality of life survey was carried out on these three groups by the 36-Item Short Form Health Survey(SF-36).Results:The genuine halitosis group and pseudohalitosis group scored lower than the control group in the three dimensions of physical functioning,validity and mental health(all P<0.05).Conclusion:Patients with halitosis experi-ence a significant reduction in quality of life in terms of validity and mental health compared to the normal population.关键词
