Abstract

Aiming at the problems of low efficiency and poor effect of existing segmented sugar beet top cutting machine,4TQ-2A sugar beet top cutting machine was designed.The machine uses two rotating shafts to rotate opposite to each oth-er to clean tassel leaves,and the model of rubber strip and the best working speed are determined by single factor test.By analyzing the structure of the top cutting device and its motion characteristics in the working process,the key dimen-sions and the optimal cutting angle of the top cutting device are determined.The field test shows that the design of 4TQ-2A sugar beet top cutting machine is reasonable.When the current feed speed is 1m/s,the rotating speed of leaf cleaning device is 800r/min,and the cutting angle of top cutting device is 30°,after five repeated tests,the average qualified rate of top cutting is 95.56%,and the average damage rate of sugar beet is 2.6%,which effectively solves the problems of untidy cleaning of beet tassel leaves and easy blockage of cutter,and reduces the operation.This research can lay a foundation for further research on mechanized harvesting equipment of sugar beet.
