Abstract

The topology design of low-earth-orbit(LEO)satellite constellation is an important part for the deployment of space-ground integrated networks.In LEO networks,how to design a constellation topology to improve the stability and transmission performance of satellite networks is an urgent problem to be solved.In view of this,in this paper,a design method of continues full-coverage LEO satellite constellation based on the satellite orbit coverage(SOC)is proposed.With the method,an LEO satellite constellation is constructed.It is shown that the constructed constellation not only meet the coverage performance,but also can reduce the switching times.Based on the constructed constellation,a link-building strategy for cross seam,named as the kth nearest satellite in adjacent orbits(kth NSAO),is generated,aiming to obtain the balance between the transmission performance and stability of the network by means of making a trade-off between the link length and the link duration.The simulation results show that,compared with the SOC method,the constellation designed by the proposed method can reduce the switching times by 10%under the continuous full-coverage condition.Compared with the counter-rotating seam inter-satellite links(CRS-ISL),the kth NSAO can improve the topological stability performance by 79.62%,so that the network can achieve a better balance between the topology stability and the transmission performance.
