益智开窍针刺法联合益智汤治疗血管性痴呆的疗效观察
Therapeutic observation of Yi Zhi Kai Qiao acupuncture plus Yi Zhi Tang for vascular dementia

Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Yi Zhi Kai Qiao(intelligence-benefiting and orifice-opening)acupuncture plus Yi Zhi Tang in treating vascular dementia.Method A total of 104 patients with vascular dementia were randomized into a control group and an observation group,with 52 cases in each group.The control group received oral administration of Yi Zhi Tang,and the observation group received additional Yi Zhi Kai Qiao acupuncture.The clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups.Before and after the treatment,the symptom scores of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),mini-mental state examination(MMSE)score,Montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA)score,clinical dementia rating(CDR)score,and activities of daily living(ADL)scale score were observed,as well as serum neurotrophins[central nervous system specific protein β(S-100β),neuron-specific enolase(NSE),and nerve growth factor(NGF)]and peak systolic flow velocity(Vp),mean blood flow velocity(Vm),and pulsatility index(PI)of the middle cerebral arteries.Result The total effective rate was 94.2%in the observation group,higher than 82.7%in the control group(P＜0.05).After the treatment,the TCM symptom scores,MMSE score,CDR score,the levels of S-100β and NSE,and middle cerebral artery Vp and Vm decreased in both groups(P＜0.05),and the NGF level,MoCA score,ADL score,and middle cerebral artery PI increased in the two groups(P＜0.05).The observation group was superior to the control group in comparing the above indexes after the intervention(P＜0.05).Conclusion Yi Zhi Kai Qiao acupuncture plus Yi Zhi Tang can produce more significant clinical efficacy than the sole use of Yi Zhi Tang in treating vascular dementia.This method can improve clinical symptoms,enhance daily living activities,and improve cerebral hemodynamics and serum neurotrophin levels.关键词
