Abstract
In recent years,a medium-sized uranium(U)deposit has been discovered in Yahewan area in the southern Ordos basin,and the uranium mineralization is hosted in the sandstones of the middle Jurassic Zhiluo formation.In this paper,the main and trace element characterization of the U hosted sandstones in this deposit shows that the contents of Re and Mo in the ore-bearing sandstones are obviously positively correlated with the U,and it was believed that Re and Mo can be used as the U indicative elements for the uranium enrichment of Zhiluo formation sandstones in the study area.The chemical alteration index of the study area showed that the weathering degree of the source area for this deposit was at the medium weathering level,lithologic assemblage characteristics and environmental parameters indicated that the sedimentary environment of Zhiluo formation sandstone changed from reductive environment to oxidizing environment.The U hosted sandstones are enriched in light rare earth elements(LREE),deficit heavy rare earth elements(HREE),and have a high degree of differentiation between LREE and HREE,and have experienced strong diagenesis and post-generation alteration.The REE distribution curves of U hosted sandstones have obvious Eu negative anomalies,and the elemental characteristics indicate that they have a unified material source,depositional environment and tectonic background.Comprehensive geochemical interpretation showed that the sediments of Zhiluo formation came from the quartzite source area,and the parent rocks were mainly medium-acidic magmatic rocks and metamorphic rocks.Combined with the REE data of the potential source area at the periphery of the basin,the REE partitioning pattern of the study area is similar to the rocks of the Qinling Orogenic Belt,which indicates that the source area of the study area is Qinling Orogenic Belt at the southern margin of the basin.关键词
