Influencing Factors and the Calculation of Analysis of Iron and Water Correction Coefficients of Gamma Logging in Rock Powder Borehole in Happy Valley,Namibia

Abstract
The drilling in Happy Valley area of Namibia was used in this paper to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of rock powder drilling characteristics in drilling construction technology.The original gamma logging data of rock powder drilling is easy to produce large errors,because rock powder is usually mixed with drilling fluid or contaminated by hole wall,which will break the balance of radon and radium.In the borehole of rock powder core combination drilling,y logging is measured in the casing drilling with both water and iron.By accurately calculating the absorption coefficient of iron and water to the logging instrument,the calculation formula of the comprehensive correction coefficient of rock powder core combination drilling can be derived,which provided a reliable correction coefficient for γ logging in this area,which determined the reliable uranium content and percentage of meters in the ore section.The comparison between the results of uranium content per meter by logging interpretation and uranium content and per meter in ore sampling showed that the modified parameters selected for logging data interpretation were suitable.关键词
