Abstract
The sight distance triangle at intersections is a basic design requirement to ensure traffic safety which is enforced as a mandatory provision in specifications.With the increasing of urban road construction,the use of sight-clear enclosures at the road junctions has been requirements.However,all sight distances are controlled by parking sight distances without considering the specific traffic control situation in China,which making the required sight-clear enclosure range is too conservative to consistent with the actual engineering situation.At the same time,due to the lack of theoretical and computational methods for intersection sight distance control in China,the reasonable setting of sight-clear enclosure should meet the needs of engineering construction and traffic safety.Under the use for reference to regulations of signal controlled intersection sight distance limits in UK and USA,a mathematical calculation model is established.Based on the traditional sight distance triangle and the analysis of entrance and exit safety perspective,the minimum length of the intersection sight-clear enclosure is obtained.The construction en-closure of the No.8 working well of the Yangli sewage pipeline network is evaluated in Fuzhou.Improvement mea-sures are proposed,which can provide reference for intersection sight distance and safety.关键词
