摘要

Abstract

The transverse cracks of continuous casting slab edge is mainly due to the slab edge super-cooling phenomenon existing in the cooling process,resulting in a catalytic temperature zone in the sector of the slab straightening area which cracks under stress.By optimizing the nozzle layout in the straighte-ning region of the secondary cooling section,the slab side supercooling is avoided and the slab is in the plastic temperature zone when passing through the straightening section.Thus,the incidence rate of edge cracks is greatly reduced.
