Abstract

To explore isoxazolines as an insecticide leads,we synthesized six new isoxazolines(G1-G6)by a seven-step reaction sequence using 3,5-dichlorophenylboronic acid,methyl 5-bromo-3-methylpicolinate,and methyl 5-bromopicolinate as starting materials.The structures of the target compounds were characterized by 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and high resolution mass spectrometry.We also tested their insecticidal activities against Drosophila melanogaster and Pyrausta nubilalis.The bioassay results indicate that at the mass concentration of 100 mg/L,compounds G1,G4 and G6 exhibit effective insecticidal activity against Drosophila melanogaster and Pyrausta nubilalis,while compound G4 exhibits 100.00%mortality and G1 shows over 80.00%mortality against both Drosophila melanogaster and Pyrausta nubilalis.These results can provide important information and theoretical basis for designing and developing new isoxazoline insecticides.
