Comparison of the efficacy of different pre-dilation balloons in the treatment of coronary artery disease with drug-coated balloon

Abstract
Objective To investigate the difference in immediate efficacy and long-term prognosis between Lacrosse NSE balloon and conventional balloon preconditioning in the treatment of coronary artery lesions with drug-coated balloon(DCB).Methods A total of 108 patients hospitalized in the department of cardiology of Jinhua People's Hospital from June 2018 to March 2020 selected and were randomly divided into two groups,57 lesions in Lacrosse NSE balloon group(53 patients)and 57 lesions in conventional balloon group(55 patients).Theminimum lumen area(MLA),residual stenosis rate and the incidence of type-C dissection were compared between the two groups,and the main adverse cardiovascular events and lesions after target vessel revascularization were followed up for 1 year.Results Ten lesions in Lacrosse NSE balloon group and 18 lesions in conventional balloon group that developed post-balloon dilatation type-C dissection or residual stenosis>30%were excluded from the study.Finally,47 lesions in Lacrosse NSE balloon group and 39 lesions in the conventional balloon group were included in the study.MLA was larger in Lacrosse NSE balloon group after DCB dilatation(baseline),compared with the conventional balloon group(t=2.768,P<0.05),and the same as at follow-up 1 year later(t=3.753,P<0.05).The absolute value of reduction of the minimum lumen area in Lacrosse NSE balloon groupwas less than that in the conventional balloon group(t=4.224,P<0.05).There was no significant difference in target lesion revascularization,myocardial infarction and death between two groups(χ2=3.129,1.219,0.840;P>0.05).Conclusion Lacrosse NSE balloon combined with DCB is effective and safe in the treatment of coronary artery lesions.关键词
