论中西移民身份认同的契合
The Fits of Migrant Identity Between China and the West:A Comparative Case Study of Gish Ren's Mona in the Promised Land and Chuang Tzu's Philosophical Ideas
摘要
Abstract
The novel Mona in the Promised Land by contemporary Chinese-American female writer Gish Jen describes the process of immigrants'seeking and choosing their own ethical identity.The free mobility identity concept presented by Gish Jen and the themes and thoughts conveyed by her novels vividly reflect the philosophy thought of the ancient Chinese philosophy of Chuang Tzu.Based on this,by taking Chuang Tzu's philosophical thoughts as the analytical framework and exploring Gish Jen's view of identity construction,this paper attempts to criticize the stereotyping and uniqueness of American ethnic identity as shaped by mainstream culture,so as to illustrate the diversity and fluidity of American ethnic group identity.关键词
