摘要

Abstract

Objective To study the therapeutic effect of body protection compound 157(BPC157)on skin scald in mice and incision injury in rats.Methods The mice and rats were divided into 5 groups,including model group(injection of normal saline:0.1 mL/20 g body mass),positive control group(recombinant bovine basic fibroblast growth factor gel 300 IU/cm2),BPC157 dose groups(10,20,and 40 μg/kg).Mice were exposed to a desktop super constant temperature scald apparatus at the hair removal site for 8 s,resulting in a Ⅲ degree scald model with an area of 2 cm2.After depilation on the back of rats,a skin incision of 4 cm in length was made with a sterile scalpel parallel to the spine to construct a skin incision model.After the establishment of the model,BPC157 was continuously given for 7 d to observe the wound healing.Meanwhile,the expressions of collagen and hydroxyproline on the wound were detected by ELISA,HE staining and Masson staining were performed to explore the pathological changes,and the drug safety was evaluated in mice.Results Compared with the model group,BPC157 dose groups promoted the healing of skin scald and incision injury,and increased the expression levels of collagen and hydroxyproline,as well as subcutaneous collagen fibers.In terms of safety evaluation,there was no significant change in body mass and mass of major organs in mice after continuous treatment for 1 week,and no obvious toxic reaction.Conclusion Studies have shown that BPC157 can significantly promote the repair of skin scald and the healing of skin wound with good safety,which provides experimental basis for its wide application in the clinical treatment of skin trauma.
