Abstract
The main mineral composition of kaolin tailings in a certain place of Yunnan province is quartz,which contains some feldspar and a small amount of impurity minerals such as kaolin.In order to reduce the tailings storage and realize comprehensive utilization of resources,this part of kaolin tailings(quartz sand)were subjected to mineral processing and purification experiments.The results showed that the samples were purified by the process of"Screening-grinding-scrub desliming-magnetic separation-flotation",the content of 0.5~0.1 mm particle size is more than 90%,the content of SiO2 is 96.65%,and the content of Al2O3 is 1.38%,quartz fine sand with 0.052%Fe2O3 content,which meet the quality requirements of silica raw materials for class I grade 2 flat glass.It provides a technical reference for comprehensive and high-value utilization of kaolin tailings,and a new source of siliceous raw materials for flat glass.关键词
