Abstract
Objective To investigate the application effect of visual health education led by nurse specialists in patients undergoing cleft lip and palate surgery.Methods A total of 95 patients who underwent cleft lip and palate surgery in the hospital from February 2020 to January 2023 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into two groups by random number table method.The control group(n=48)received routine health education,while the observation group(n=47)received visual health education led by nurse specialists.Health knowledge,psychological status,speech intelligibility and quality of life of the two groups were compared.Results After 3 months of intervention,the score and awareness rate of health knowledge in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,the scores of psychological and behavioral state were lower than those in the control group,the speech intelligibility score was higher than that in the control group,and the quality of life score was higher than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Applying visual health education led by nurse specialists to patients undergoing cleft lip and palate surgery can increase their health knowledge,and improve their psychological status,speech intelligibility and quality of life.关键词
