Abstract
The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China's report proposed the promotion of the Chinese nation's great rejuvenation through a uniquely Chinese modernization process.This rejuvenation re-quires the mobilization of significant forces,with identity serving as a primary source of strength and a crucial driver.General Secretary Ⅺ Jinping places considerable emphasis on the concept of identity.This paper con-ducts a textual analysis of 31 speeches and 42 articles concerning identity in Xi Jinping:The Governance of Chi-na(Volumes 1-4)".The essence of General Secretary Xi Jinping's discourse on identity encompasses four levels:approval attitude,psychological attribution and recognition,behavioral support,and emotional attach-ment.Identity stems from rational understanding and emotional connection,with the subjects of identity inclu-ding Chinese citizens,compatriots from Hong Kong,Macao,and Taiwan,the Chinese government and its peo-ple,foreign governments and their people,and specific groups.The objects of identity encompass scientific the-ories,value concepts,the Chinese nation,policy measures,the state,and the Communist Party of China.Methods to enhance identity include the etiquette system,memorial ceremonies,and symbolic imagery.The functions of identity involve dialogue and communication,steadfast will,and tangible achievements.General Secretary Xi's significant discourse on identity is encapsulated in the"1+7+27"model.The seven dimen-sions cover the definition,source,subject,object,nature,path,and function of identity.The 27 specific direc-tions serve as the embodiment of these seven dimensions'meanings.关键词
