From Simplification to Minimalism:The Value Transformation of Grassroots Social Governance A-mid China's Modernization Process

Abstract
The value orientation of grassroots social governance directly influences its direction.China's mod-ernization encompasses the modernization of social governance at the grassroots level.The transformation of this value orientation is integral to achieving the modernization goals of grassroots social governance.The complex landscape of grassroots social governance during China's modernization necessitates a shift in value orientation from simplification to minimalism.Specifically,this transformation can be categorized into three main aspects:a shift from power expansion and administrative dominance to compound governance involving delegation and em-powerment;a transition from top-down management to independent,flexible,and appropriate governance;and a move from prioritizing stability and efficiency to balanced governance that considers both development and or-der.In the new phase of China's modernization,promoting a simplistic transformation of the value orientation of grassroots social governance requires fostering positive interactions among multiple grassroots entities,enhancing their governance capabilities,encouraging systematic adjustments to the grassroots governance environment,and nurturing the socio-cultural foundation for minimalist governance.关键词
