Abstract
The diagnosis of canine hematologic tumors in pet clinical practice is mainly based on histopathological techniques,and the timely diagnosis still needs to be improved.In order to explore a systematic,reliable,and rapid diagnostic method for canine hematologic tumors,this study aimed to diagnose 21 suspected cases of canine hematologic tumors through a comprehensive application of routine blood examination,blood smear classification and counting,imaging examination,bone marrow aspiration,and bone marrow smear techniques.The results showed that among the 21 suspected cases,18 were diagnosed with hematopoietic system tumors and 3 with non-hematopoietic system tumors.The 18 hematopoietic system tumors included 5 cases of acute lymphocytic leukemia(ALL),2 cases of chronic lymphocytic leukemia(CLL),6 cases of lymphoma,2 cases of myelodysplastic syndrome(MDS),and 3 cases of acute myeloid leukemia(AML);the 3 non-hematopoietic system tumors were all bone marrow metastases of mast cell tumors,namely mast cell leukemia(MCL).The results indicate that the clinical use of routine blood examination and blood smear classification and counting can identify cytological abnormalities in dogs with hematologic tumors.Subsequently,the adaptive application of bone marrow cytology techniques as an auxiliary examination can accurately diagnose the nature of the tumor.Therefore,bone marrow cytology holds significant auxiliary value in the clinical diagnosis of canine hematologic tumors in dogs.关键词
