Abstract
This study collected blood samples from four Nomascus leucogenys and one Hylobates gabriellae housed in the Chongqing Zoo for the analysis of blood routine and blood biochemical indexes.A total of 24 blood routine indexes and 26 blood biochemical indexes were examined.The results revealed that some indexes in the blood routine and blood biochemistry of subadult Nomascus leucogenys and adult Hylobates gabriellae were outside the"Mean±Standard deviation"range observed in adult Nomascus leucogenys.This suggests that age,gender,and species differences may influence the values of blood routine and blood biochemical indexes in Hylobatidae.This study represents the first detailed examination of the blood routine and blood biochemical indexes in healthy Hylobatidae in China,providing fundamental data for establishing blood reference values in captive Hylobatidae.The findings have practical implications for the management,breeding,health care,and disease diagnosis in Hylobatidae.关键词
