Effect of Wuzi Yanzong Pills Combined with Tadanafil in Patients with Erectile Dysfunction after Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia Surgery and Its Influence on NO and ET-1

Abstract
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Wuzi Yanzong Pills combined with Tadalafil in the treatment of erectile dysfunction after benign prostatic hyperplasia surgery and its influence on serum nitric oxide(NO)and endothelin-1(ET-1).Method:A total of 80 patients with erectile dysfunction after benign prostatic hyperplasia surgery were selected from March to October 2022 in the Andrology Outpatient Department of College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.CQMU.Patients were randomly divided into control group(n=40,was treated with Tadalafil,5 mg/d)and observation group[n=40,was treated with Wuzi Yanzong Pills(6 g/time,2 times/d)combined with Tadalafil(5 mg/d)].The international index of erectile function-5(IIEF-5)score,erectile hardness score(EHS),CTM symptom score and the levels of NO,ET-1 before and after treatment were compared between the two groups,and the clinical effects and adverse reactions were evaluated.Result:After treatment,IIEF-5 score of observation group[(20.84±2.02)scores]was higher than that of control group[(17.41±2.65)scores](P<0.05).There was no significant difference in EHS[(3.20±0.18)scores vs.(3.16±0.20)scores]between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,the scores of TCM symptom[(12.01±1.65),(11.89±2.01)scores]in the control group and the observation group were significantly lower than[(19.50±1.37),(18.98±2.00)scores]before treatment(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in TCM symptom score between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,the serum NO levels in control group and observation group were higher than those before treatment,and NO in observation group[(39.20±6.11)μmol/L]was higher than[(32.11±5.12)μmol/L]in control group(P<0.05).After treatment,serum ET-1 level in both groups were lower than those before treatment,and ET-1 level in observation group[(32.43±5.29)ng/L]was lower than(38.90±5.31)ng/L in control group(P<0.05).The clinical total effective rate of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Wuzi Yanzong Pills combined with Tadalafil has a more significant effect on improving erectile function in patients with erectile dysfunction after benign prostatic hyperplasia surgery,which may be related to inhibiting ET-1 expression and increasing NO content.关键词
