摘要

Abstract

This paper presents the technical concepts and historical background of distributed X-ray sources.A distributed X-ray source refers to a device that can independently and controllably generate X-ray emissions at different positions within an X-ray tube.The concept was initially proposed in the early stages of X-ray CT technology to address the issue of slow imaging speed caused by slip ring motion.How-ever,due to significant technical challenges,practical implementation was not achieved initially.The dis-covery of carbon nanotubes(CNTs)and their application in cold-cathode X-ray tubes led to the successful design and imaging research of distributed X-ray source with 5 focal spots by the University of North Caro-lina in 2005.This achievement garnered widespread attention and triggered a new wave of research on dis-tributed X-ray sources.Subsequently,numerous innovative research outcomes,including hot-cathode,cold-cathode,line array,and planar array distributed X-ray sources,emerged.This article further ex-plores the technical approaches and characteristics of representative research institutions both domestically and internationally.It provides an in-depth analysis of the research achievements and applications of do-mestic research institutions in the field of CNT cold-cathode distributed X-ray sources.Nuray Technology Company has developed dozens of distributed X-ray source products,ranging from 7 to 256 sources,with anode currents varying from 7mA to 30 mA.These products have been widely applied in areas such as bag-gage security checks,industrial non-destructive testing,and medical diagnosis.In three-dimensional per-spective imaging,they fully demonstrate the advantages of static structure,high detection speed,and high temporal and spatial resolution.The technological innovation of X-ray sources has driven the development of imaging systems and holds promising prospects for research and application.
