V波段方形环对角双杆行波管研究
Investigation of a V-Band Traveling-Wave Tube Based on Square-Ring Vertex Double-bar Slow Wave Structure

Abstract
To meet the requirements of the traveling-wave tubes(TWTs)with wide bandwidth,minia-turization,and larger output power,a wide bandwidth V-band TWT based on square-ring vertex double-bar(SRVDB)slow-wave structure(SWS)is studied.Compared with traditional ring-bar SWS,the SRVDB SWS is more compatible with the MEMS fabrication techniques,which is beneficial to the minia-turization of the TWT.The high frequency characteristics of the SRVDB are studied,and the parameters are optimized by electromagnetic simulation.The research results of beam-wave reaction show that,with an operating voltage of 22.3 kV and a current of 0.09 A,the SRVDB TWT can produce a peak output power of 148 W at 60 GHz,with a gain of 34.7 dB and an electronic efficiency of 7.4%.The instantane-ous 3 dB bandwidth can reach 13 GHz(52~65 GHz).关键词
